UCCNRS Mini-Grant Program: Research Working Groups and Campus Activities

The University of California Center for New Racial Studies (UCCNRS) is a UC MultiCampus Research Program Initiative. This MRPI supports collaborative research by UC faculty, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and their colleagues at other institutions.

For more details see our Request for Proposals, available below.  The webform for submission of proposals is also available below.

UCCNRS RFP:  Research Working Groups

A Research Working Group is a collaboration developed by a group of UC faculty located on different campuses.  These grants fund consortial efforts to develop a research program regarding a significant problem in the broad field of new racial studies

UCCNRS RFP:  Campus Activities

These are research-oriented, or research-promoting activities in the broad field of new racial studies. Launching campus-based research projects or working-groups, supporting research-oriented curriculum development, or assisting race/racism-oriented groups in seeking external funding or these purposes, are the key goals of this initiative. They are based in collaborations among faculty groups, or graduate student-based groups (or some combination of these) located on a particular UC campus.  We will also support campus-community research collaborations, and research collaborations including UC research staff and administrators, as appropriate.
